Contacting Unforgettable Maui Weddings:

You have 2 options for contacting our company: via eMail- unforgettablemauiweddings@yahoo.com, or via phone- 808.385.3035. We don't require any hourly fee for you to chat with our coordinators, or for us to answer your emails. However, we're unable to provide you with details on accommodations and/or vendors until you're booked with us. This is due to the large volume of couples we serve throughout the year, and our goal is to provide them- as we'd like to provide you- with the utmost quality of service. In short, our time & effort are dedicated to clients who have decided to go with us for coordinating their Maui wedding.

Booking with Unforgettable Maui Weddings:

Once you chose the Package suitable for your needs- or created your own Package- & decided to book our wedding services, we ask you to fill out & sign our Policies & Agreement. Also, we require a $200 deposit to secure your wedding date. Once we receive the payment, we email you the confirmation & the details on your chosen package. First thing we do is scheduling the marriage license appointment [for that we advise you to arrive on Maui at least 1 day prior to the wedding, or avoid arriving on weekends if you're planning on getting married within 1-2 days- the Marriage License offices are closed on weekends]. Please NOTE: we only SCHEDULE the appointment- the couple is responsible for a marriage license fee of $65, that should be paid directly to the agent at the time of the appointment. [Please cash only in exact change].

Choosing the Minister/Officiate to perform your wedding & the type of the ceremony:

On one of the first pages of our website we introduce you our vendors: ministers, musicians, photographers, videographers etc. Sometimes, couples ask us for a certain vendor to be a part of their wedding- mostly it affects the choice of the Minister/Officiate. As much as we would like to meet the couple's desires, sometimes it's impossible because of the previous commitment of this vendor to another event on the same day & at the same time. However, we can assure you, that ANY of our vendors are incredible & you'll be happy no matter whom you choose, or who's available.

Unforgettable Maui Weddings offer you the choice of Hawaiian & 'Haole' [White] ministers, who are non-denominational & who perform either Religious or Non-Religious ceremonies. You may also write your own vows & read them to each other during the ceremony.

If you're in need of any special minister [Rabbi, Non-Rabbi, Lutheran, Baptist, Catholic etc.] we can arrange for it as well- additional fees might be involved. Please NOTE: Catholic ministers DO NOT perform ceremonies at the beach!

Videography & Videographers: why is this so important & what to expect?

Couples are often tempted to enlist a friend or relative with a camcorder to tape their wedding. While an amateur video is better than no video at all, it's usually way below the quality that a professional can deliver. If you'd like a professional-looking video, you're going to have to go with a pro.

We use professional video equipment, which includes Sony digital video cameras & lenses- videos recorded digitally allow us to manipulate images, rearrange scenes, add special effects & transitions, change colors & improve picture quality, add creative titles etc. Our equipment also includes Samson digital wireless microphones- they can be clipped to a lapel and are almost invisible; our microphones let us have a nice, clear, uninterrupted sound.

Generally, videographers use different types of editing: some use in-camera editing (which is basically just the footage as it was shot, with little or no editing afterwards), which is least costly but most limited method of editing. That's NOT what WE do! We spend up to 20 work hours editing your video and making it television-quality. The final DVD is about 23-25 minutes long [ceremony & post-ceremony footage].

The timeframe for completion of your video depends on the amount of work we have at the time of your wedding. Generally, your video can be ready in 4 weeks- sometimes it takes shorter or longer time. Sometimes couples want to have their DVD before they leave Maui. All urgent requests for editing require an additional $150 fee.

Normally we mail your DVD using First Class mailing service with Signature Confirmation. If you'd like to upgrade to Priority or Express Mail, or would like us to mail your video using FedEx or UPS, there will be additional fee.

Photography & Photographers:
Selecting a photographer to document your day of days is possibly the most important hire you'll make. We are the ones to find your shutterbug soul mate who will make sure the trip down memory lane is one you'll want to take over and over again.

There are three general types of photography: photojournalistic, traditional wedding photography, and the mix of both photojournalistic & traditional. If you loved your sister's nuptial snapshots and most of them are candid black-and-white action shots, you're probably leaning toward a cameraman with a penchant for photojournalism. If you prefer portraits and posed shots, a traditionalist is for you. Ambivalent? Can't agree? Seek out that special mix. Our photographers, in fact, ARE that special mix!

We use professional photo equipment, which includes Nikon digital photo cameras,  Nikkor lenses, Nikon shutter-speed flashes, Cokin & Tiffen photo filters, & professional photo memory cards. We use digital cameras ONLY, which allows us to offer you poster-size portrait prints, as well as prints on canvas.

As suggested on the famous website TheKnot.com, 'expect to spend at least $1,500 and easily up to $4,000 on the photographer'. However, with Unforgettable Maui Weddings you will never spend so much money! Our photo packages start at just  $440 for prints & $450 for images on a CD. You also can upgrade your photo package for a coffee-table book for as little as $400!

We never offer you raw- un-edited images! We perform a big post-production work, adjusting your photographs, making sure they're beautiful & perfect.

Generally, our photographers take about 300 and more photographs during even a simple beach ceremony, which allows you to choose from a great variety of shots, which are posted online for your convenience. We are using a special online service called 'Wedding Images Online', where your photos are posted in a gallery for 6 months for FREE.

The timeframe for completion of editing your photos & posting them online varies from photographer to photographer. Your photos can be ready as soon as in 5 days- and timeframe goes up to 3 or more months: please understand that any photographer in our 'wedding capital of the Nation' is VERY busy, having about 7-10 weddings a week!

All urgent requests for photo editing require an additional $200 fee.

Normally we mail your photo prints/photo CDs/albums using First Class mailing service with Signature Confirmation. If you'd like to upgrade to Priority or Express Mail, or would like us to mail your photos using FedEx or UPS, there will be additional fee.

Choosing a wedding location:

...You have a strong desire of having your wedding ceremony at the beach- that's what was haunting you for years! You also want to bring a lot of guests with you- over 30 people,- because you want to share your special day on Maui with your friends & family & want to be surrounded by loved ones. There's nothing wrong with your wish, except for one- but very discouraging- detail: you cannot bring more than 15 guests to the public beach wedding! What should you do? Does it mean you need to change your plans & go somewhere else, not to Maui? Should you either give up a dream about having all the people you want with you, or forget about having your wedding at the beach? The answers on all these questions are 'NO, why should you give up ANYTHING?!' And here is the reason, why: it's all about choosing the RIGHT location for your wedding party!

To make it simple, we'll put it as a list of *TIPS*:

  • Public beach location: permit $20- up to 40 people
  • Private beach location: capacity & prices vary
  • State park location (lawn): permit $20- up to 40 people
  • Private location (lawn): capacity & prices vary
  • Private chapel: up to 60 guests [prices vary]
  • Church: up to 125 guests [prices vary]

We also suggest you pick your wedding location close to where you're staying on Maui, or, vice-verse, choose your lodging close to the wedding site.

Whatever it is you desire- we can find anything for you! Just give us a call or drop an email.

Choosing wedding florals:

We have quite a collection of bouquets, leis & boutonnieres available. You can see them by going to 'What's in the Package?' page. However, if you don't find what you're looking for, you can simply email us your pictures- and we'll try our best to re-create them! You don't see anything you like in our collection, but you don't have anything particular in your mind, either? Give us a hint! Tell us what colors you'll be wearing, what are your favorite colors & flowers, also tell us what you DON'T like: color- and flower-wise,- and we will surprise you!

Choosing a wedding musician:

As with ministers/officiates, we cannot guarantee you a particular musician for your wedding day if he/she already was booked for the same date & time. To increase a chance of having the musician you like, we urge you to book with us as far in advance as possible- at least 6 months prior to your wedding date.

What to do if you don't see the song you'd like for your ceremony in the musician's play list? You can supply us with the music sheet & the lyrics of the song, and the musician will learn it- for an additional fee, which varies from vendor to vendor.

Beauty services: how good are they?

They are GOOD! =)) Again, as with the choice of florals, you can browse through our hairstyles gallery & find the one you like. If you don't see it- send us a picture! Simple & convenient. Makeup? The same thing! Our beauticians are professional- all of them have their own beauty salons & are VERY successful in what they're doing. In all our packages we include in-room service for the bride: think, how great it is! You don't need to leave the comfort of your room on your wedding day to get pampered! Want more? Want to relax? We can schedule a massage appointment for you & your husband-to-be! And our masseuses will come TO YOUR ROOM! Do we need to say more? ;)

Still NOT CONVINCED??????

We are COMPLETELY  dedicated to our Brides & Grooms, unlike lots of other companies, who cannot care less if their clients are satisfied or not at all. We often tell to ourselves: "As soon as we feel like we can't do it as good as we used to, we should quit this business." It's a pity to see couples mistreated on their wedding day. When we're having our family walk at the beach & hearing some wedding 'professionals' talking bad about their clients right behind their backs, we're thinking: "If only this couple chose our company for their wedding..."
Our name- Unforgettable Maui Weddings- is not just pretty words. It's our DEDICATION we stand by.

Thank you for your interest in our website & services we have to offer!

Hope to hear from you soon!
